Our story
We've always shared the same passions: cooking, the taste for beautiful things, the pleasure of hosting, and the discovery of new cultures — with a special love for Japan.
Matcha has been part of our daily lives for over fifteen years. Discovered during an immersion in Australia's coffee shop culture, deepened by our travels and training in the Japanese tea ceremony, it became far more than a drink: a ritual, a balance, a moment of pause.
In 2025, with the desire to create a project that truly reflects us, we imagined Ocha: a concept at the crossroads of events and gastronomy, turning a simple pause into a genuine experience.
With a background in events, communications and gastronomy, Manon developed one obsession: crafting experiences that truly leave a mark. Six years ago, she swapped coffee for matcha — a revelation. Curious and creative, she trained as a barista in 2026 and co-founded Ocha to share that passion.
Several years in retail as a network trainer gave her a sharp eye for detail, a love of teaching and a deep care for the customer experience. Passionate about Japan, she learned the language and deepened her knowledge of tea. Matcha became an obvious fit: a way of life blending simplicity, precision and authenticity.
